Online panel discussion on global order and geopolitics in Asia
“What comes next for Asia and the global order?”
Thursday, 2 July 2020, 8-9.10 pm New York time/ Friday, 3 July 2020 7-8.10 am Bangkok time
jointly hosted by the Center for Global Affairs (CGA), School of Professional Studies, New York University; the Asian Governance Foundation (AGF), and the German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPG), Faculty of Law, Thammasat University
Is the so-called liberal international order, formed at the end of the Second World War and solidified at the end of the Cold War, coming to an end? Is Pax Americana – never really about peace and more about power – about to be replaced by a new model, potentially with Chinese characteristics?
Join us as we explore these questions and what they mean for Asia. Registration is open until Thursday, 2 July, 3pm (Bangkok time, UTC +7)
